The Spanish Film Festival is being organized annually by the Film Society of the Lincoln Center in the Walter Reade Theater. The festival is supported by Instituto Cervantes of New York, the Spanish Institute of Cinematography and Audiovisual Arts (ICAA) and the Spanish Institute for Foreign Trade. In this year’s festival participated, together with the Esteban and José Miguel Ibarretxe’s production, films from directors such as Isaki Lacuesta, Jonas Trueba,Carlos Iglesias, Daniel Sánchez-Arévalo, Montxo Armendáriz, Ventura Pons, Mireia Ros, Nacho Vigalondo, Chema de la Peña, Agustí Villaronga, Enrique Otero, José Luis Garcia Sánchez, Santiago Segura and Miguel Gonçalves Mendes.

Posted: October 31, 2011 Filed under: News, Releases Leave a commentEmilia Uutinen appears in the new season of the Spanish Sitcom Hit series “Aída” that was opened yesterday 30th of October. The chapter was a huge success, rating an audience share of over 20% in the Spanish TV panorama.
In the chapter the barman Mauricio Colmenero (Mariano Peña) receives the visit of Nicoleta (Emilia Uutinen) who is pregnant and who’s water breaks in the bar.
The next morning Mauricio finds an abandoned baby girl in front of his bar. He supposes the baby is Nicoleta’s and believes that he is the father. Mauricio takes care of the baby and daydreams about how the child will be in her twenties, until Nicoleta returns to the bar to claim what’s hers…
Finally it turns out that the abandoned baby wasn’t Nicoleta’s and Mauricio’s either, but of the waiter Néstor. What Nicoleta was claiming, was the pay Mauricio owned her for assembling him an IKEA night table.

“An Almost Perfect World” (Un Mundo Casi Perfecto) was chosen in the ZonaZine Selection of the Málaga Spanish Film Festival in the past month of April. The directors Esteban and José Miguel Ibarretxe presented the film in Málaga together with the actors Javier Merino, Antonio Dechent, Velilla Valbuena, Emilia Uutinen and Mairim Pérez. This was the first showing of the film to the public, whereas the release dates of the movie are planned for the summer 2011. The Finnish actress Emilia Uutinen is member of the Jury in the International Short Film Festival of Móstoles 2009 together with Pedro Casablanc, Nathalie Seseña, Carlos Castell, Óscar Cavaller and Pablo Martínez. The actress presented the Best Screenplay Award, handing it to Sergio Barrejón and Nacho Vigalondo.
